Bridgeport - Communty Fair

The City of Bridgeport Planning Commission hosted a COMMUNITY FAIR to address the needs of residents. The event addressed questions related to city planning, government, public services, and more during this fun family event.

Critical Areas Updates

Alliance Consulting Group completed critical area reviews and GIS analyses utilizing Best Available Science for Adams and Grant Counties, and numerous Cities and Towns in Chelan, Douglas, Adams, Grant, and Kittitas Counties. This review consisted of compiling, analyzing and documenting the presence of critical areas.

Eastmont Metropolitan Parks

ACG and the Eastmont Metropolitan Parks District recently finalized and updated the District’s Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Plan. This Plan was derived from multiple community outreach efforts, including surveys, focus groups, and public workshops, and from review and coordination of existing Comprehensive Plans.

Kittitas Comp Plan & Dev Regs

The City of Kittitas was required to review, and as necessary revise its comprehensive plan and development regulations per the requirements of RCW 36.70A.130. The City used grant funds for a consultant to assist with the following tasks: develop and implement a public participation program, review the comprehensive plan and development regulations for compliance with GMA and changed community conditions, and determine the scope and level of review that will be necessary to comply with the statute.

Malaga Vision Plan

This project entailed working closely with the Malaga Community Council, as well as Chelan County, to develop general goals, policies, and criteria to implement local areas of more intense rural development (LAMIRDS), and to assess existing conditions and community desires in the land use planning for Malaga.

Mattawa Econ. Development Plan

The purpose of this project was for the Port of Mattawa and the Town of Mattawa to work cooperatively in developing an economic development strategy. ACG compiled an update to the Port of Mattawa’s comprehensive plan, including an economic development strategy that is coordinated with the Town of Mattawa’s economic development and capital facilities elements. The updated comprehensive plan provides goals, policies and strategies to reflect the community, as well as the desires, expectations and key priorities of local residents and businesses for improving the local economy.

Peshastin Sub Area Plan

A newly created Peshastin Urban Growth Area Sub Area Plan and implementing development regulations was developed by ACG and the community. This project entailed working closely with the Peshastin Community Council and Chelan County to develop general goals, policies and criteria to implement a new Urban Growth Area around Peshastin. Building on a strong, grass roots effort by the citizens in Peshastin, this Project is an excellent example of locally driven community development.

Regional Shoreline Mgt Plan

Douglas County and the cities of Bridgeport, East Wenatchee, and Rock Island have nearly completed a review and update of the Douglas County Regional Shoreline Master Program. This project has spanned three years and has involved working with Douglas County and the participating cities, as well as technical and citizen advisory groups.

Town of Mansfield Comp Plan

This project was to update the Comprehensive Plan and Development Regulations to ensure that all State requirements are met. The process included a technical review and public review of critical areas, essential public facilities and other desires of the community.

Upper Kittitas Visioning

Alliance Consulting Group, Inc. had the honor of facilitating the first visioning process for Upper Kittitas County working with the Regional Land Use Advisory Committee (RLUAC.) This citizen’s group, appointed by the Kittitas County Conference of Governments, had representation from all of the Upper County communities. The Visioning process defined and documented the important qualities as defined by Upper County citizens that need to be preserved over the course of time.
